Hi, I’m Christine and Shanti Candle Company is my small business. It all started when I bought my first soy candle at the Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market in October of 2017. I loved that candle - the way it smelled, the slow burn, and the cute owl container it was poured in. That’s when I decided that I wanted to create my own hand-poured candle business.

All of my candles are made from 100% soy wax. I have chosen to use soy wax because it is a sustainable and renewable product that supports American farmers. Soy does not contribute to the continued use of fossil fuels.

My favorite items to make are my intention candles. I have approximately 15-20 crystals in use at any time and enjoy researching their respective energies. I match a fragrance to the energy of that crystal, then use food grade or organic botanicals for added decoration. Shanti Candles are made with organic hemp wicks. I can truly stand behind my products because I feel good making them with top quality ingredients! The look on my customers’ faces when they see, smell, and ultimately purchase my candles drive me to continue working so hard at my craft.

I currently sell all of my candle varieties in a few stores, and am always looking for new markets. I have enjoyed the few events I have done with Marketspace Vendor Events over the last year and look forward to the events I have planned with them in the future. The events are well organized and received, and the attendance is amazing. The table fees are reasonable, and I know that they try their best to keep it as low as possible for their artisans. Kim and Kevin are a wonderful couple to work with.
