Louise Waterfall - Textile Trolley
Hi all, I’m Louise, owner of Textile Trolley, currently a one woman show! My business is primarily sewing beautiful items for babies and children like bibs, blankets, aprons, tooth fairy pillows, etc., but I’m branching out into the odd gifts for adults too like beer coasters, toiletry bags, wristlets, etc. I’ve been sewing all my life (as a hobby) and 5 years ago after being made part-time at my job I decided to make a business out of it, and currently no looking back!
Everything I sell is handmade by me. I am a perfectionist to detail so everything I make is of the top most quality. I primarily sell online, direct wholesale to businesses all around the world including China and Taiwan (would you believe?), Malaysia, Switzerland, England and various states within the U.S. I do take part in a fair amount of craft shows and love getting out and meeting all my customers, many who return with new additions to their family. My biggest seller by far at craft shows are my baby bibs. For outdoor shows, I have a vast display with many different fabrics which are all really eye catching.
My goals for the future are to be able to keep on doing what I’m doing, increase sales and hire a seamstress to help with the workload. I am currently in the process of developing my own website which will enable me to break away from my Etsy shop and become more independent. I’m so excited to work with Marketspace Vendor Events and their upcoming events, such as Crafts and Drafts at Lone Eagle Brewing on November 11th. It’s a totally fresh, young, and modern way of dealing with craft shows and the fact that they are bringing craft shows to breweries, well it doesn’t get much better than that (maybe the wineries next year???). I wish them much success in the future and look forward to partaking in more of their shows.
